Just Because: A Vintage Heuer Camaro In The New York City Sun ...
The Heuer Camaro is a simple, cushon-shaped watch that was sold for only a short period in the late 1960s and early 70s, and is one of the few Heuer chronos that never saw an automatic variation. The Camaro was, after all, Jack Heuer's attempt to capture some of the American muscle car market (why he made the watch cushion shaped, small, and rather elegant, we'll never know), but the watch did come in a variety of configurations. With the two register models you'd see Valjoux 7730's in them (like seen above), two register variants with dates had the Valjoux 7734 and all three register Camaros had the venerable Valjoux 72's in them. To celebrate spring time in NYC, here is a photograph of a classic watch that might just be one of the best values in vintage chronographs....
